153 days....

Thanks to my new iPhone, I now know that I have 153 days left till the wedding day. It has been a long planning process. First, my dress company went out of business. Next, my reception venue (the tower club) went out of business last week. So we had to find a new location! We are so happy to have found the Blackstone!

We still have tons to do! Flowers, invitations, honeymoon, transportation. Ill try to keep you updated.

The hardest part- getting in shape. Headed to Dailey method today for day 1 of wedding training....

I realized today that I have not followed up on my blog. Since I have tons of craziness going anyway,I figured I would try!! I'll try to post a lot about our upcoming May wedding!!

Fire!

Ok- I admit I did not stay up on my blogging.... but I am back! 

Last weekend there was a fire at my office building and we still are not allowed in.  Working from home is not as fun as it sounds.

A picture from our cooking class this weekend.  We made scallops with blood orange reduction and caviar!  It was amazing to say the least....

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's Day, Matt surprised me with a couples cooking class!  After the class, we went to a great place called Pops for champagne!  We had so much fun!

We made a great scallop dish with reduced blood orange sauce and caviar.   I will try to remember to post the recipes.

So I have come to the conclusion that I think Brad picks Chantel O. They seem to have a connection that he doesn’t have with anyone else. I think Chantel  tells Brad everything he wants to hear. While I think she is a little over the top he seems to be into that kind of thing. Michelle is still as crazy as ever. She is seriously nuts. However, I do not think she shows that side to the girls. Anytime she is around them she seems normal but the minute she is one on one with the camera she is total crazytown.  Emily is still by far my favorite and I am glad Ali is gone. The other girls are just fading in the background to me. I think tonight will be Brie or Britt (whatever her name is) night to go home!!

Bachelor Recap 3 & 4

Here is my Bachelor recap times 2!

I hated to see Ashley leave after the 2 on 1. You rarely see the girl who receives the first impression rose leave so soon. I thought she was cute but a little emotionally unstable. I really like Shantel. I think she is sincere and sweet. Chantel is getting a little too serious for me but I think her and Brad have something strong. Ashley H and Brad really seem to be getting along great as well. I think if she can pull it together she might be there for a while.

Emily is still by far my favorite. She is beautiful and classy. However, I don't think Brad is good enough for her. I'm hoping she doesn't win so she can be the next bachelorette. Michelle is beyond crazy and I'm looking forward to her hopefully going home soon!! That's all I've got!!! So until next time...

Survived!

I have officially survived my first blizzard!  I have never seen so much snow.  I will post more pictures soon!  Right now I wish I was here.....

Vegas Bound

Matt and I are joining some friends on a trip to VEGAS in May.  I have never been, so I am so super excited!  We are going to stay at the Encore.   Looks like sooo much fun! 

 

Treadmill review

It has been about a week since we got the treadmill up and running (pun intended...)!

The IFIT feature is not as exciting as I thought.  Basically, you wirelessly download your workouts onto the machine.  The problem is that sometimes they don't download and the machine tends to time out. 

Other than that, it is going well!  We have been running on it almost every night.  I am going to start my 8 week guide soon for the shamrock shuffle.  If anyone is interested, here is the training guide that is supposed to be pretty helpful!

Bachelor 3

From my sister....

Better late than never. Last week on the bachelor I of course fell in love with Emily even more. In a way I hope she doesn't win because I would love to see her as the next bachelorette. I still really like both Ashleys as well. I think the Executive Assistant is also becoming a front runner. Michelle is totally nuts and if I hear her say "he needs a woman not a girl" one more time I might throw up. I thought Madison's exit was great. Loved when she said she wanted to find love but there were girls there that NEEDED to find love. Time to get ready for tonight's episode!!

Recipe

Last night was my monthly cooking club.  I brought buffalo chicken dip, which was a huge hit! 

Here is the recipe:

BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP

2 [10 ounce] cans chunk chicken, drained
2 [8 ounce]packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup Ranch dressing
3/4 cup red hot sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Heat chicken and red hot until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and Ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half the cheddar cheese and transfer mixture to a slow cooker.Sprinkle of the remaining cheese over top, cover, and cook on low setting until hot and bubbly.
Serve with Ritz cracker
